The 50th US/Mexico Sister Cities Association (USMSCA) Convention will be held February 21-23, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. USMSCA, established in 1962, provides assistance in creating new sister city relationships between U.S. and Mexican cities as well as supports existing partnerships.
Attendes to this historic Convention will enjoy a line-up of exciting workshops and sessions. VIPs expected to attend and speak at the Convention include Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28), Consulate General of Mexico in Laredo Miguel Angel Isidro, Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas, and USMSCA President George Barks.
Attendees will be participating in workshops on “World Trade Logistics for Sister Cities,” “Incorporating Visual Arts in Sister City Exchanges,” and a special talk by Irapuato, Mexico Mayor Jorge Estrada Palero. Over a special luncheon on Saturday, guests will hear a first-hand account from Eduardo Gonzales titled “A Sister Cities Youth Success Story.”
