WASHINGTON, DC (July 24, 2017) – Following a membership-wide election, four individuals were elected to Sister Cities International’s 27-member Board of Directors. The elections took place during Sister Cities International’s Annual Business Meeting at its 61st Annual Conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia on July 14, 2017.
David Cortese of San Jose, California, President of the Santa Clara County, California Board of Supervisors was elected for his first three year term as an at-large Director. Presley “Lee” Guio of Union City, California; Steve Kalishman of Gainesville, Florida; and Clare Petrich of Tacoma, Washington were re-elected for three year terms as at-large Directors while AJ Chahal of Santa Clara, California was re-elected as the Youth Representative.
Tim Quigley, Chairman of the Board of Directors, also appointed two at-large Board members for one year terms: Shin Koyamada of Los Angeles, California and Roger Lawrence of Baltimore, Maryland. Larry Uebner of Omaha, Nebraska was reelected as Treasurer for a second year as was Carol Robertson Lopez of Santa Fe, New Mexico as Secretary.
At-Large Members elected to the Board’s Executive Committee include Claire Petrich of Tacoma, Washington; Ed Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Raveen Arora of Tempe, Arizona.
